After 2 long years, B1A4 once again came to our little island. Under the anticipation of everyone, these oppas not only brought us a memorable and happy performance at their concert Live Space, but they also made some time to do an interview with KKBOX. Through our little interview of "Tell the truth (a.k.a. tell us the secrets), the boys allowed fans to know a little more about their little world.

Sandeul told the members about his worries when they first debut, but the members are unhappy?! & this all started with Gongchan's good looks? What actually happened? BANAs who love B1A4 should never miss out this video specially prepared for you, in the midst of laughter and talking, we felt the really good relationship the members have with each other.

Q: Member who likes talking the most?

A: Gongchan, Sandeul, Jinyoung, Baro chose Jinyoung, Baro chose CNU, CNU chose Sandeul.

CNU (about Jinyoung): When we go to a place he recommended to eat, he will keep on introducing to us the food.

SD: The more he talk, the more the food don't taste good.

CNU: Recently Jinyoung has been exercising, but as he exercises, he also kept telling us he gained weight, like how many kgs did he gained.

SD: Why do I need to know such stuffs?! He kept telling me how many kgs he gained.

JY: When someone goes to a place I recommend or watch a movie I recommend, and then they come back giving me good feedbacks, I feel very happy.

Q: If you can go for a meetup, which member would you bring?

A: Gongchan, Jinyoung, Baro chose Sandeul, Sandeul and CNU chose Baro.

BR: Previously, I introduced Sandeul to a lot of my friends. When we meet for a meal or something, Sandeul is very humorous, so all my friends likes him and praise him. From then on, every time when I am going to meet someone, I will call Sandeul first.

SD: I chose Baro, but there isn't much of a reason why. It is just that Baro makes me feel very comfortable.

Q: The member who cares about his image the most?

A: Gongchan, Jinyoung and CNU chose Sandeul. Sandeul and Baro chose Jinyoung.

CNU: I feel that Sandeul knows his own image very well. In order to maintain his image of eating well & being healthy, in order not to disappoint the fans, Sandeul is always working hard to keep to that image. When I see him like that, I am envious. 

JY: I also think the same.

SD: That's right. I am actually someone who don't eat very well.

CNU: That's right. Originally... He actually don't eat very well but because of image.

SD: I think it is a happy worry.

Q: Gongchan is the face of B1A4?

JY: Of course Gongchan is our face, if not who can it be?

SD: Gongchan is one of the reason why I want to come to Seoul. Before I came to Seoul, I did a video call with the members and I saw someone who looks really good looking and that person was Gongchan. 

JY: That is the reason why you want to join our group? Thank you. Thank you for wanting to join our team.

SD: I contemplated for quite a while.

CNU: So you thought, it's okay to join this group.

BR: Did you regret?

SD: I did not regret. I chose it.

JY: Thank you for joining our team. Mr Sandeul, please take good care of us.

SD: You did well.

Q: The song you made that left the most impression?

JY: I guess it would have to be the song "Together" that's in the album this time. We chose 50 fans and sang it with them. It is not just a meaningful song for us, but it is also a very meaningful song for the fans.

BR: While writing the lyrics for "10 years later", it left the most impression on me. When I was writing this song, I was in a very difficult time. Just the name of the song itself made me emotional. When I write the lyrics, I felt that it was very relatable. Personally, I feel that it is a song that contains my worry and thoughts.

Q: What is music to B1A4?

JY: Music is a part of our life and it is also something that makes people happy. 

Q: The secret to Sandeul singing touching love songs?

BR: Most of Sandeul's strength for singing comes from food. When we are running for our schedules, he needs to eat more delicious food in order to have strength.

SD: My lower half of my body needs to have energy.

BR: So that he can show everyone a wonderful stage.

SD: When I sing, I use a lot of energy from my lower half body.

Q: Let's say goodbye with Sandeul's voice.

I still remember when people mention about B1A4 a few years ago, fast paced songs like "What's happening", "OK" will come to our mind, the image that these 5 big boys are just like our cheerful school seniors. The members also agreed that "What's happening" is a song that displays the colours of B1A4, and as a BANA you definitely have to know this song.

These oppas also highly recommended "Drunk on you", they mentioned that not only the title song, but the entire album consists of a lot of very great works, and hope that everyone can listen to it. 6 years into their debut, the members showed us their hard work and persistence through the works of their own music.

Other than expressing their gratefulness to their fans through their music, "Together" which was included in their newest album was recorded together with 50 fans, and this song has a special meaning to the composer, Jinyoung. he said the lyrics, "Don't be bother with how others see you, it is enough that we are happy now" was written to encourage fans to have confidence of themselves. He also mentioned that a lot of fans hide the fact that the like a singer because of the stereotype people will give them, and hope that such lyrics can encourage them to be themselves.

Baro who is in charged of rap also mentioned that he wrote his feelings as he filled in the lyrics for "!0 years later". He said when he wrote it 2 years ago, it was a difficult time, and thus when he wrote the lyrics, he felt that it was very relatable. This song displayed the uncertainty of human when they look 10 years down the road.

Music to B1A4 is not just a part of their life, but a companion that grew up with them. CNU agreed that music gave them a lot of chances to meet fans from all around the world, and because of that, he is very grateful to music. Other than just showing us a more and more mature side of them through music, the members also did very well in musicals and dramas, showing everyone the passion and perseverance B1A4 has in the entertainment industry.

On the night they had their Taiwan concert, B1A4 opened the stage with Melancholy, In the air, meeting fans whom they have not seen for very long. That night when the sang OK, and played back their debut stages performance, we reminisce their youthful days in 2011. Followed by catchy songs like My love, Baby I'm sorry, Baby Good night,  they brought the audiences back in time.

Jinyoung agreed that every time when they do a concert, and see that the hall is filled with BANAs, he always thinks that BANAs have magic powers, and exists like a dream. I believe that for B1A4 and people who supports them, just being able to be together, any timing is a Good Timing.

Everyday, many things happen in the world. This month, it seems that we feel even more joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness of life. Please understand me as I dare say this.

This month's issue of Woman Donga has the first male cover model in history - If I remembered it wrong, please let me know - and on top of that 5 of them, and to the extend of shooting an idol star. The agony that lasted almost a century is now resolved in this month's issue. It has never came across to me that because it is a women's magazine so we have to cast female cover models. Simply due to being realistic, it is hard to cast a male cover model. Also, I think there was some slight "resistance" to casting the "father" celebrity who went on the show with the kids as the cover model. I have no idea why. Haha.

To cast B1A4 as the first male cover model, the reporters never had other opinions. Rather than that, the responses are "If it's the first male cover model, then of course!". All these while on several occasions, the bad trend of celebrities every time when we want to do an interview, they either they have a busy schedule, they "decline shooting politely", or "a document in replacement of interview". But (B1A4) came to Woman Donga and did their best. Not just the reporters but every one who was working in the building could see it.

The process of filming was broadcasted live through Instagram and Facebook video and thousands of people were watching it with us. Even with the unfavourable packed schedules and the cold spells, all five members of B1A4 really displayed gentlemanliness. Ah, and also to those who watched the broadcast, just how much affections they gave them.

It was happy to be with them. And we also got reminded of Sewol ferry.

This month, we had our first President impeachment. And you know it, Woman Donga reported important points of the impeachment process. It started as a condolences to the kids of Sewol Ferry incident. I believe that truth of the ex-president that has yet to be exposed or surface will be revealed. To the kids and youth who are living with difficulties, and the families and parents of the Sewol ferry victims, I hope B1A4 songs can be a beautiful passion, light and strength to you. Bringing B1A4 into a social topic is wholly out of my own will and even though I am very worried if them or their fans out there might be hurt, please forgive me generously as I "abuse my power". 

Let's all send March away together.

March 6th 9am. 5 members of idol group B1A4 - Jinyoung, CNU, Sandeul, Baro, Gongchan, entered the studio with bright smiles on their faces. 

After ending their solo concert in Feb and completing the promotions for their 3rd full length album, B1A4 was scheduled to fly into Japan that day's afternoon. Even with their Japan schedules, we managed to finished a 10 pages shoot and interview by 3:30pm successfully without any problems. In order to keep to our promised with fans, we revealed the filming scene through Instagram and Facebook live. At the scene where 1 hour felt like 1 minute, the laughters never ceased in the building. This was all thanks to the member's team work.

Debuting in 2011 with mini album Let's Fly, B1A4 has become a group that is receiving praises for their outstanding musicianship and acting skills. Leader Jinyoung who acted in Love in the Moonlight as the pure and noble Flower scholar is also a talented song writer, composer and producer. Sandeul who has gotten acknowledgement for his singing skills through MBC King of Masked singer as well as Shinwoo who inherited the talent from his trot singer Mother are becoming topics after participating in musicals. After 2013's drama Reply 1994, rapper Baro has gotten acknowledgement for his possibility as an actor and subsequently, he is coming back and forth on the small screens and acting actively. Gongchan has appeared in web drama "Taste of Love" and variety "Celebrity bromance". All these while as they grow constantly and widening the age group of the people giving them love, B1A4 who has matured into "National Idol", what kind of thoughts will they be having now?

Q: There is no way I can't ask about your thoughts on being Woman Donga's very first male cover model.

ALL: It is an honour. I think it would be a very unforgettable memory. (laughs)

Q: Your fans age group are from the 10s all the way to the 50s. You seems to bond very well with BANAs, is there any know-how on how you communicate with your fans?

JY: Whenever we are unable to meet the fans, we head into the fan cafe. Over there, we leave messages, upload pictures, even though other singers are probably the same too, to us, fans are number 1. Since we are always treating them with sincerely, the fans knows our heart well too.

Q: You guys are famous for having good relationship with the members. Is it a result of working hard on it together?

BR: I was first picked up, followed by Jinyoung, Shinwoo, Gongchan and eventually Sandeul. When we first started out, in order for us to become close, we worked really hard. During our trainee days, the hyungs lead the younger ones well so whenever there are unhappiness, we will talk things out and meditate on the differences in opinions. As we do that, we realised we don't get into fights.

CNU: Everyone is good-hearted by nature.

JY: When we have our own activities, we become each other's fans and cheer on one another. We also do monitoring for one another.

Q: What kind of existence is B1A4 to each of you?

CNU: Feels like myself. Feels like its contains everything of me.

BR: I came to know the hyungs since my first year in high school and because we spend our youths together, they are like my friends. My first and long-lasting friends.

JY: Family. I spent almost half my life with them, and they feel just like my family.

SD: My name. At first when we first started out as a singer, it was awkward. Now that I have spent 6 years together with the members, I want to be called B1A4 for the rest of my life.

GC: My heart. It has the meaning of five guys all running as one. (laughs)

BR: Wa! Then I want to change mine. Feels like people who can detoxify you when you are tired. Haha.

We did a on the spot "Awards among ourselves" questions. CNU and Sandeul fought neck-to-neck for the "Best eater award". CNU won the award for "No chilly days in the fridge" (means no empty fridge). Baro received the award for "No matter how tired I am, I have to set my clothes for the next day". As for the "Mood maker award", "Giving strength and comfort to each other when tired and difficult", "Nerd award", "Doing my best no matter what the rest gives me", we agreed that the awards goes to all of the members. For the most sensitive "Cry-baby award", we thought it would be Gongchan who cried buckets that day at the concert but surprisingly, everyone won that award. 

BR: We are all crybabies when we speak our hearts. When Jinyoung makes a song, he is very sensitive. As for me, when I talk about my family or members whom I treasure a lot, I will swell up in tears.

SD: Shinwoo hyung cried in the shower when we first debuted.

CNU: However, it is not always that we pour our hearts. I hope you can know us as manly guys who play jokes on each other and are tough side too. (laughs)

Q: What do you mostly do when its rest time?

JY: I either write songs or watch movie. When I watch movie, I get experiences indirectly and because of that inspirations will also come when I write songs.

CNU: I like writing songs or resting in my spare time.

SD: Its good that I find it comfortable being by myself occasionally. At times like this, I will go to the cinema or the amusement park to play.

BR: Walking my dog, reading books, watching movies comfortably at home, as I do that, I study English too.

GC: I either exercise or in order to release stress, I play games. Haha.

Q: You are at the age you are interested in the opposite gender isn't it? What kind of girls attracts you?

JY: A girl who has good manners.

BR: Someone who matches well with me in terms of thoughts and words.

CNU: Someone who can embrace me well, as an example, someone with a motherly style would attract me.

GC: A girl who only has eyes for me and loves me.

SD: Someone who has my heart and is a pro at knowing how to be hot and cold.

Q: If you meet your ideal type, what kind of presents would you give them on White day?

BR: I would want to give her a soft and sweet chocolate milk as a gift. Especially Namyang Dairy Product's chocolate milk. I don't really drink the other brands.

JY: Rather than international brands, we like local brands more. (laughs).

CNU: I am mad about chocolate. It is to the point that I would fill my fridge with lots of chocolate milk in the beverages compartment. When we are at the filming site, I will also occasionally drink it. There are days you need sweet stuffs.

GC: I also like giving chocolates as gifts compared to candies. I like that it leaves a sweet after-feeling 

Q: Who is the person you respect the most?

JY: Parents. When I was young I think that my parents are really cool and I respect them. I will definitely work hard to be someone like my parents.

CNU: Members. There are a lot of times when I feel like "It seems like I am working with the artist I like the most!" There are always friends whom I respect and are proud of.

SD: My father. As I get older and older, I come to feel even more strongly my father has as he carried such heavy burdens silently and came this far.

BR: The father of Korean's hip hop, Tiger JK. I started rapping because I heard his rapping. I respect his rapping style, as a person, he is also very nice and cool, there are a lot of things to learn from him.

GC: I also respect my father the most. I want to be a guy and father who is like my father, always being cool and shining.

Q: As B1A4 promotes, what is the stage that is the most memorable for you?

JY: Our debut stage. It is the first stage of our fulfilled dreams, and it is also the place where we first met our fans.

CNU: The concert we had in February.  I am the most happy when I meet fans and spend time with them.

SD: I was very touched in that concert when the fans held up the slogan "We will be here no matter when". It is a moment that I would be able to forget.

GC: I also cannot forget that concert. My little brother came all the way to Seoul by himself in order to watch the concert, so I was really proud of him. I always feel that he is a young child, Doing well even by himself, as I see my brother growing up into a respectable young man, for some reason, I choked up.

BR: Our first concert. It is a dream since young to do live as we perform, to put into words the happiness I have to have that dream fulfilled, its hard.

Q: Are there any wishes you wish to fulfil this year?

JY: There are a lot of fans who are worried because I look weak, this year, I want to make "create a healthy body" as a goal. I am working out very hard now.

BR: It would be good if we can have another concert outdoors in summer this year. Personally, I want to be able to go on a solo backpacking trip in Europe.

SD: I want to travel into every inch of Korea with a tour-use bike with my bags on it. After that, I also want to challenge travelling overseas.

CNU: It would be good if we can release several albums. I want to spend another shining year with the members. Personally, there is nothing else other than health that I wish for. Healthy is the best.

GC: I want to show fans lots of good performances. I also want to travel around with the little brother who came to Seoul to watch the concert. When my family went for a trip, it was really a pity that he wasn't able to come along.

After shooting finish, we were told that B1A4 who rushed to the airport for the evening flight has safely touched down. They also said that Gongchan who has been sick and worrying is also on the road to recovery. This time round, they travel to Japan to promote their new Japan single "You and I" which was released in 8th Mar. As they finish their Japan promotions, they will head to Hong Kong for "Hong Kong Asia Music Festival" and will have a concert in Taiwan end of March. B1A4 who will unfold a miracle like world no matter which stage they are on, Woman Donga will also cheer on that we will be able to see B1A4 together for a long time.

They comeback with Good timing in Korea after 1 year and 3 months.

It has been a long time since their last full group activities and we sit with them to hear about their comeback thoughts.

JY: Fans waited a long time, so I felt really sorry, wanted to release an album as soon as possible and be together with them. Now we started on our promotions, we get to see our fans, able to show various images on the stage, so I am very delighted. Recently, I have been very happy everyday.

CNU: Its a promotion since a really long time, I feel emotional yet fresh at the same time. Feels like as if I re-debuted. We have been doing solo activities within this period up till now and because of that, I find that it is really happy and fun to be promoting together as a group.

BR: I had butterflies in my tummies as we prepared for this album. Being able to meet banas personally after so long and being able to show our performance, I feel very happy.

SD: I was really nervous. It has been really long since the members comeback as a whole group, and we get to meet our fans after a long time, so I am nervous.

GC: I waited and anticipated for the day we start promoting. I really want to meet banas! Even though I can communicate with banas through SNS, but I find it a pity that we are unable to see their faces. However, because from now on we are coming back, we can be with banas so I am very happy!

I heard that you guys chose your album tracks from 30 songs this time round. When did you guys start writing and how do you prepare for the album?

JY: Ever since we release album and decided to put in my songs, I have been writing songs till now. I feel that if I am giving a timeline to write a song, wouldn't the song only fit that day's style. If there is any episode I can think of, it would be the song "Together" which was recorded together with 50 fans and placed in the album. Even though it is a fan song, but it is very deep and meaningful to us too.

CNU: Just like what Jinyoungie said. We do not set a time line just for (writing songs and) releasing of album. Even though we have talks like "because of the solo activities, it would be good to release an album during the year end", we do not set a time on when to prepare for the album, we always do it when we have the time, or when the inspiration comes. We write songs and store it, (then when the time comes, we) gather those that matches the concept of this album. Even though it is very tedious to write songs at the same time when we do our solo activities, the process was fun. When we needed more motivation to go on, we will write songs while thinking about how the lovely our fans look when they listen to our songs. Banas are always a pillar of strength to us.

You guys added a diverse range of music into your album this time. What is the reason behind such composition?

JY: The album this time consisted of even more diverse genre than what we had before. For example, we have Reggae style "Nightmare", Future bass "Drunk on you". As expected, if we have more variety in the genre it helps with the album, and because we want to let people hear a new vocal style of our members, so we decided to make sure a diverse composition.

CNU: Because we wanted to do that,right from the start, we did not limit the genre of the songs, and wanted it to contain the images that B1A4 has. Be it the thoughts that we are having now, the inspiration that we obtained or the things that we are into now, those naturally helped us choose the diverse songs. I think it is possible because we are the ones making the album.

It seems like you guys filmed your album jacket and music video in Jeju-do. Are they any memories of Jeju-do?

BR: On the day when we filmed the music video, it was actually Jinyoung's birthday. We prepared a surprise birthday party but I think hyung overheard us so it was a failure. (laughs)

SD: I remembered Jinyoung and Gongchan left the other members behind and went to eat delicious food and came back. (laughs)

GC: Even though I feel sorry for Sandeul, I remembered us heading out to eat. Because Jinyoung filmed his drama "Warm and Cosy" in Jeju-do, so he knows a lot of restaurants. So he said he wanted to introduced us to a few restaurants and eat together. The next day we intended to go together but it was a pity that Sandeul, Shinwoo and Baro had schedules, so Jinyoung and I went to eat a little and went back. After that the hyungs were very envious and jealous... (laughs)

Intro-Time is a song with a mofit of time turning back. If time could turn back, when would you want to head back to?

SD: I have a lot of moments which I want to head back to, but I want to head back to when we debut. I feel that at that time, we had a lot of free time, it would be good that I made used of the time effectively.

In "Nightmare", there is a part where the lyrics goes "the moment my dreams turned into reality", are there any dreams that turned into reality? What kind of dream was it?

CNU: I don't have a precise one. I don't really remember dreams, probably because they are mostly strange dreams, they don't feel real.

It is about the song "The moment I fall for you again", B1A4 knows each other very well, but if you were to fall for the member once again?

JY: I am touched when the members are together. As a leader, there are times I feel that I am burdened if I don't achieve anything. I am very thankful that the members are good to one another and give a lot of help to one another. Also, they also worry about my things and when I see them like that, I fall for them again.

CNU: When I can rely on Jinyoung as a leader, I fall for him once again. Sandeul was really cool when he was doing his solo stage. Baro is the coolest when he is rapping on stage. When Gongchan wins the other team in game, and also when we can look up to like a big brother. 
SD: I always for the each of the members again. Among all the reasons, if I were to choose one, when leader Jinyoung is working hard, he looks really charming.

BR: Even though all the members are cool, this time round I want to introduce Gongchan. Even though Gongchan is also really tired, but he is always playing along with the hyung's jokes. When I see it, I feel really touched.

GC: Our members are all very cool! I fall for the hyungs when they call my name and takes care of me. Without me knowing, it came to be that I get very happy every time the hyungs calls my name. It feels like family. It is a different feel from bana, it is the hyungs that only I know.

In "Sparkling", the lyrics goes "we can make paradise", a fun that is like paradise. If B1A4 can make your own world, what kind of world would you want to make?

BR: A world with nothing, a quiet place where the river flows and is refreshing, a world filled with abundance of drinks and food! If there is such a world, it is paradise isn't it?

It is a question with regards to "To my star". Like constellations, stars also shows luck. There are also lucky stars where you make your wish. What kind of wish would you want to have?

JY: For me, I want to wish for everyone to be able to live happily! I feel that happiness is a word that contains everything. Its not just me being happy, but everyone has to be to happy, and whomever sees it, will be even more happy isn't it? I hope to have that. 

It is a question about the song "Melancholy". Melancholy has a sad meaning, when you guys are sad, what do you do to change your mood?

GC: Actually, recently there isn't anything that I was sad about... If I were to think about those says, I think I will go on SNS and chat with BANAs. It is a healing and its happiness to be able to talk to BANAs. That is why I always feel that I want to be able to be someone who can give more strength to BANAs.

Jinyoung wrote You & I which was released on the 8th Mar. If you were to tell us the point to take note of? Please also let us know the thoughts of other members when they first heard the song.

JY: This song consists of the heart to want to show more of B1A4, and how we grow in the future. Simply a song that is filled with thoughts like "Just the five of us alone, we wouldn't be able to fly. We want to fly hand in hand with our fans."

SD: First, I want to talk about my thoughts from the moment we record this song. Because when Jinyoung let us listen to song while recording, it was a very bright song, I thought it suited B1A4 very well. After that I was thinking about how are we going to sing it when we go onto the stage, when we sing in the concert, how can the fans enjoy it.
BR: I first heard this song when Jinyoung let me listen to it in his producing room. At that point I thought "This is such a fun song", and I really want to stand on the stage with this song. I also want to have fun with the members and fans as we dance to this song.

Blue Moon is a song made by Shinwoo, when did you make this song? How did the melody and lyrics came up?

CNU: The process of how the song came about... I completed it in the writing studio. (laughs) Even though it is always like that when I write songs, I will sit in the writing studio and eat macadamia nuts as I write... (laughs) Usually when I write songs, I will go to my studio, sit at my desk and write the song. I am more of the kind who will have inspiration as I think about this and that while sitting. To us, I think this single is very important. From then on, what kind of present would be good to the show the image we want people to see in the Japan market, so I made the song Blue moon. I feel that it would be good if people listen to this song and think "oh, B1A4 has this colour too".

What kind of lips is a lips like Blue Moon?

CNU: Blue moon refers to a woman who have left, as to why Blue Moon is because it's just a symbolic representation and "It is very lovely to see a blue moon in the sky" so blue moon = lover. Because Blue moon is like the woman I loved, so a lips like blue moon would be the lips of the woman I loved.

It seems like you guys filmed your Choo Choo Train MV in ski resort in Japan.

GC: We used 2 days 1 nights to film the MV. The members are all living separately now, when we stayed over for 1 night, the building had mattresses on the second floor, everyone said to sleep together in one place so we all stuck together and slept. At that point I thought "Ah~ this is good~" and felt it really deeply, things of the past came to my mind too, I came to realise once again "As expected, our relationship is for us to be together".

BR: When we filmed that MV, there was a campfire and we also played with sparklers. I remembered when we were playing with the sparklers, the spark splattered to my head and because it was so hot, I went straight to the snow to cool off. (laughs)

In You & I, there is a lyrics that goes "I got your back". I feel that when I hear that, I gain courage or strength. When do you think you gain strength?

JY: As expected BANA! I think of our fans. I feel that to us, BANAs is one of the people we loved the most. I think they are the energy why we can run forward. When we meet fans, we gain strength. When we stand on the stage, those who stand in front of us are BANAs. BANAs are the origin of our strength.

GC: I have another opinion. My hyungs.

The rest: Ohhh~~

GC: Even though fans gives strength to me, but to me I have the hyungs. Originally, I am afraid to do anything alone. To state an example, I was on a show and I have to do diving and I am so scared, but at that time, the hyungs shouted out loud "Have strength! You can do it!". I heard the voices and I did it. Another example would be when we are recording songs, when I make a mistake, the hyungs will say "It's okay, you can do well". Such things give me a lot of strength. Recently on ISAC, we did archery. That was my first game, and it was the very first shot so I was nervous. At that point, the hyungs were at the back telling me "It's okay! You can do it so don't be nervous!". So I shot my shot calmly, and I shot into the camera that was set in the bullseye.. (laughs) Thank you guys once again.

You guys got first for archery?

GC: We won Gold medal.

CNU: I think it is only a reasonable result. It felt as if we had no rivals (laughs). Of course, the juniors also worked hard, but there is no one like us. (laughs)

You have fanmeeting in April, Japan tour in June. But after that, do you have anything that we want to do with fans?

CNU: There was once we did it in Korea, we went on a picnic with fans and it was really fun. We played games together and spent a fun time together. I hope we do one in Japan too, it would be good if we can set a date and go picnic together with the fans.
GC: Flower viewing or rental an entire cruise!

CNU: Using our own money (laughs)

SD: Since Shinwoo hyung is going to buy a cruise! (laughs)

ALL: Cos he is wealthy! (all burst out into laughter)

Every year, they will predict and announce the thing that will be in trend. If the trendy things in 2017 would be like what B1A4 has in mind, what kind of things would it be?

BR: As expected, hot icon B1A4! I would think that B1A4 is popular! Also I. She is my sister who recently debuted as a singer, please support her a lot!

JY: For me its VR. It would be fun through TV too isn't it? We had a drama like this before, it was fun.

GC: Recently, there are people who eat alone or travel alone. There seems to be an increase of people who enjoys doing things on their own. I think it would be good if whichever contents that allows people to enjoy being alone would be good. I often eat alone, till now I still am unable to visit a BBQ restaurants... But I heard that recently there has been BBQ restaurants in Korea that allows people to eat alone that are opened, I wonder if such restaurants will continue increasing.

CNU: I think for me it would be words like Peace. In this year, I hope that many countries would be at peace.

SD: If you ask me about my recent thoughts, I have been thinking about this since end of last year. In 2017, I wonder if fishing would be trendy among the middle age people. There has been an increase in the number of youngsters getting interested in fishing. Because they are a lot of idols who also finds fishing fun, so the culture of youngsters taking interest in fishing, I wonder if it would slowly have more attention or will it be trendy.

Does Sandeul does fishing often?

SD: Yes. I will from now on! (laughs). I have done sea fishing before previously, I want to polish up my skills and try to head to places like the sea or river.

Let us hear you 2017 aspiration.

JY: I want to exercise hard. I also want to work hard in the area of music, I would be happy if I can expand my width and depth of expression. Also, as an actor, I want to meet everyone again with a good production, and a new image. And it would be best if I can be healthy and happy like I am now everyday.
CNU: I am still unhappy with my current situation now. (laughs) I have things that I want to show more, I want to show a more grown image of myself compared to 2016.

SD: I want to let more people listen to our songs in 2017 too. With our music activities as the center, I hope this year would be another great year!
BR: I want to be able to meet fans whom we are not able to meet up till now. We will work hard in order to meet everyone! Please cheer for B1A4 from now on!

A: Right before going up the stage, I will clean my teeth. I might be eating various stuffs up till right before I get on the stage, so I do it just right before I go up. If I don't brush my teeth when I go on the stage, I will be very aware of it and I won't feel refreshed, it feels like things wouldn't go well.

A: From this year on, I want to go around with my wallet. Up till now, I am only heading out with my phone and card.

Q: You and I has a part about meeting a miracle-like girl. If I get to meet such a girl, it is a miracle. What kind of girl would it be?

A: Firstly, I think that it is very important that both of our hearts matches. If to choose between a puppy-like or cat-like girl, for me I think a cat-like girl would sway my heart, so I think I like that kind of girl more.

A: Filling my tummy before we do a recording. Eating properly. If I were to record on an empty stomach, my voice don't come out well, so I will make sure to eat well before that.

A: It is the first time in my life I ate escargots. It was a very interesting feeling but it was delicious!

A: Someone whom I can see that is very in love with me, that even people outside knows very well about it. When seen from a 3rd party, you will think "Ah~ this person really likes me", I want to meet this kind of girl.

A: Debut solo with the song CNU hyung made! It doesn't matter what kind of song! It will be the number 1 song in oricon chart (laughs)

The 7th HKAMF held at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition center successfully ended. This year, we had Korean band, B1A4, representing their country, attracting a lot of fans to this event. Earlier before the event started, we met up with B1A4 for an interview, let's see what do they have to say!

Q: Which of the members do you think suit music that expresses emotions?

JY: Rather than which member is suitable, we can say because different members have their own responsibility in each of the songs, and each of us have our emotions we deliver for our parts, so I guess we can say all of the members suit such music.

Q: On the recent comeback, you guys tried emotional music, are there any music styles you wish to try in the future?
BR: Secret.

JY: Would like to try out a different style, the songs that B1A4 have in general all very suitable to the season we release in, even though we can't say when will we do a comeback, but we will try our best to do music suitable for that season.

Q: The last comeback's results were not bad, are you guys planning for a comeback this year too?

All: This is also a secret.

CNU: Actually, we are always in the midst of planning. it also might be possible that we suddenly do a comeback, so everyone please look forward to it.

Q: When you come to Hong Kong for a concert in May, will there be any special programs or stage that you will prepare for the Hong Kong fans?

JY: In our concerts, I hope we can bring more songs that allow fans to dance and jump with us. We will prepare a lot of stages that fans will like, so please give us a lot of support and look forward to it.

Right after, when a reporter mentioned that someone has released a solo album before, Sandeul replied "Yes, that is me", and was very excited and cute. When asked whether the other members will also release a solo album, CNU said NO without hesitation, making all the members burst out into laughters. When the reporter asked why, CNU replied "We are B1A4, so we always write our songs for B1A4". When the members heard him say this, they immediately clarified that he is just joking, showing us their cheerful and playful image. Thereafter, leader Jinyoung added to express that if there is chance for a solo album they will do it, even though not very sure when, but the chance will come.

Q: Yesterday, the members went to eat hotpot, and what kind of ingredients in the hotpot do you guys like best?

JY: Before we ate hotpot yesterday, we went to eat chicken claypot, as well as dim sum.

BR: I personally like the beef in the hotpot the most.

Q: Last year when Jinyoung filmed Love in the moonlight, there were very good responses. Are you planning to film anymore shows in the future?

A: If the chance comes, I will definitely want to film another show.

Q: In that case, what kind of show would you want to film? Are the rest of the members interested in filming a show too?

JY: I want to try out action films, also, my character in the show this time round was a one-sided love isn't it, so next time when I film for a show, I want to have a fulfilled love line.

Q: How about the other members?

SD: If given a chance, we would want it too.

BR: I just shot a drama that will be aired soon, please look forward to it.

Q: Are there anythings that you are into recently? Or what do the members like to do when there is free time?

SD: I like watching movies.

JY: I also like watching movies.

GC: I like to rest.

BR: I will go shopping, or bring my dog out to play.

CNU: When I have free time, I will usually write songs, or sleep.

Q: If you have time in the future, where do you want to travel to?

The members all said Hong Kong, Jinyoung also mentioned that he came to Hong Kong with his family before and had a lot of good memories, so he wants to come to Hong Kong for a holiday again.

Q: It was almost a year plus since you guys came to Hong Kong for a concert the other time, is there anything you wish to tell the Hong Kong fans? Do you know how to say some cantonese?

JY: We feel very sorry that we are only coming to Hong Kong after such a long time, I know everyone waited for very long, so we are preparing hard now, and will bring to everyone a great performance. As for the cantonese we have learnt, I know "I love you"

Baro kept repeating "hotpot, hotpot", and while the translator was helping to translate, Sandeul was busying trying to practice "I love you" with Jinyoung, it was very adorable.

Q: When you guys come to Hong Kong in May, do you guys have plans to sing a cantonese song for the Hong Kong fans?

SD: This is currently a secret, we will prepare the things that the fans like, so please look forward to it.

Q: Is there anything interesting that happened this Hong Kong trip you can share with the fans?

BR: Yesterday after the rehearsal, we actually do not have any plans, but because we had some time, so we went to eat hotpot, it was a restaurant that is very delicious, so it left a deep impression.

Q: Is there any plans for today?

JY: Firstly, we have this performance today, and on 21st May we will also be back for our concert, creating a lot of chance for us to meet out fans, we will also come often in the future. While in Korea, we are preparing hard for our next album, please continue to give us support and look forward to it.

The weird idols who live next door

It feels like it is natural that they are charting 1st on music charts and music shows with their 3rd full length album "A lie". B1A4 members has received lots of love as expected as they develop in areas like variety shows and drama etc. They are doing a 4 days concert in a small theatre as they end their albums promotions locally, and we met them in the middle of their concert period.

While entering the room that has no members to check the situation before the interview, I met eyes with Sandeul who was sitting down, eating bread with a serene face. A lovely and nice face. Beyond the TV screen, his face is definitely better. Whenever we heard an amusing Gyeongsang-do speech and turn around, Sandeul will be there. It was morning and among the people who couldn't go far from their personal room, Baro proofed that he is the B-type in B1A4 by dancing, singing and mood making from the beginning to the end. When asked out of manners "Do you have other poses you would like to do?", it is the first time I come across someone answering "Yes".  Once he has finished posing to his heart's content, he greeted respectfully "I will end here" and head back to where the members are.

Jinyoung gets more energetic as the day goes by. Like his own face, after he calmly shot for his individual shot, he broke out singing loudly and matched the beat to find back his own condition, during the interview of facebook live, he talks directly like a leader. He feels like someone who has been living earnestly and justly. Shinwoo looks at the members with affable eyes the whole day. In order for the pictures to turn out nice, he did not use much energy and rather than trying to be showy, he gives a feeling that he always has one foot outdoors. Shinwoo is also the one who is most serious in giving his thoughts during the interview. Even though Gongchan is the youngest, but he did the shoot most maturely. When shooting for the full group photo and the rest of the members can't help but joke around, he himself said "mind control!", places his hands in his pockets and gazed at the camera. The places that they like most in Seoul are Mangwon-dong, Seongsan-dong, Yeonnam-dong, like this, there seems to be no other groups like B1A4 who is in the 7th year of debut. Also as and idol who is filled sincerity and good intentions every moment.

Rather than a real hall, you guys did your concert on a small stage. The inspiration seems to be a little different.

JY: There are concerts that are we after. We thought that fans will feel sad if we are too far away, so this concert, we wanted us to be close and have fun together, and it definitely has it charms.

You have mentioned a lot about being thankful for fans. Does the members used to be a fan of someone too?

SD: Senior Kim Yeonwoo. Even though I stay in Busan and was unable to catch his performance regularly, when I listen to songs, I listen and sing along to Senior Kim Yeonwoo's songs the often. 

CNU: I like Senior Wheesung and I have all his albums. Even though I stay in the countryside and can't watch his performance often, whenever he is in the province for events or performances, I will go for them. Because I like him so much, I used to also run after his van when he ends his performance.

B1A4 is called "composing-dols". I know very well about Jinyoung but how different are the styles that each other members are after when writing songs?

BR: Because I like hip-hop, so I write hip-hop and trendy songs as a base. Come one day, I would also like to show everyone music of my own style but I still do not have the chance.

CNU: Why are you so bitter? (laughs)

JY: The chance will come.

CNU: I like African-American music since young, so I use that as a foundation to write songs, actually the music that I want to do is songs that I have not challenged before or a song that can make me discover a different image of the members. This is why in the album, I added in a hip-hop reggae song. It is a charm to do express a genre through the members' voices. I want to try various things.

Rather than conforming to the style of B1A4, it seems more free.

JY: I feel that matching the style is important. I would like to try various genre. I know that fans like my emotional songs since I write them a lot, but in actual fact, I like hip-hop and EDM music too, I also go for a lot of DJ festivals.

Do you go attend and jump a lot?

JY: I jumped a lot! I want to do music not limited by the genre.

This year you would be in your 7th year. Compared to when you debuted, there are a lot of new idol groups that came up isn't it. There are also groups that debuted with you guys who are now gone. Have you guys ever discussed about the directions that B1A4 would like to go in the future?

CNU: Actually, when we first debuted, the burden that we will not get enough love from the public in a short period of time and eventually disappearing was huge. So in the first two years, it is not possible to not have anxiety over getting love from the public. Even though we were lucky, but the trend is gradually changing. Everyone is young and promising. I think it is fit that through these years we are constantly together. The rest of the groups are going like this too. For us, I think we looking at the far future but taking small steps and moving forward.

SD: Please see and call us "multi-talented-idols". Nowadays, a singer has to sing well, dance well as a basic. They also have to act well, do well in musical, shot a movie, do well in variety. An idol has to be everywhere isn't it. For B1A4 who is excelling in each of our own areas, I hope people can say "Will they be more robust in the future". I am thankful that people are calling us "multi-talented-idols". 

BR: Who gave us that name?

SD: Bana

On the opposite, you have also thought about your own live as an individual too right? Are there any difference in the dream that you dreamt 7 years ago?

BR: Time passed by really quickly. We debuted when we will 19, 20 and 21. When we debuted, we didn't think deep into things like "I will have to live a life like this now", now after 6 years, I will think about what have I done when these years that has passed by. There are things that I want to fulfil, I also have a clue of how I want to live my life, but these went unfulfilled as we lived on till now. I think I have to think about how I want to live, not as a B1A4 member, but as myself, from now onwards.

In the remaining years of your 20s, what moments would you like to have the most?

SD: Ah, there really isn't much left.

BR: If we go into the army, it will take up 2 to 3 years...

JY: I want to have a lot of time making memories. Even though being busy with work can also make memories, but I feel that it is important to occasionally have holidays, or make memories of my own too. It would be good if everyone went together, anyways, just not work related. There isn't much memories of us on a holiday. When we enter the 30s, it is the memories of the 30s isn't it? I will find it a pity if we do not have such memories in our 20s.

Have you guys not went on a holiday together before?

All: Not yet.

Does everyone likes travelling?

All: Of course

BR: We three (Baro, Sandeul, Gongchan) went before.

How is everyone's travelling style like?

CNU: I prefer not doing a lot of sightseeing and just resting.

BR: Look up in the map, going here and there. Look for delicious food, all on foot.

Where did you three went?

SD: Bali. I told the members "Let's do shopping, let's challenge these exciting things here." but they didn't wanted to do it. I came to know that there are times like this that we don't really match too. I really like extreme sports a lot so no matter where I go I want to try it.

GC: I just follow the hyungs everywhere. Haha.

BR: He really followed us very well. He followed us everywhere.

SD: Chan also took care of the money isn't it?

BR: No, no, together.

CNU: Gongchan would rest well and do sightseeing well too.

SD: He is a hybrid.

JY: I like seeing beautiful landscapes. A good place like a tall building that allows me to look at the night scape. I like it so much I will find it on purpose. 

In a generation where it is hard to live on just one occupation. If you can choose a 2nd life, what occupation would you want to do?

BR: I have not thought of that...

JY: I want to be a CEO. Manage a company. I think it would be really cool.

BR: Oh, I want to try that too.

GC: The owner of a building. (everyone burst out in laughter)

That's the most mature thinking. Why live an even more tiring life, it is already very tiring now. (laughs)

GC: Hyung (referring to Jinyoung) I am the owner of a building.

CNU: I want to be a CEO that will cultivate new singers, with my own hands, be it group or solo artists.

Do you have such insights?

CNU: I am not sure. When someone comes out, I would analyse it a lot. Previously, when a song comes out, I would simply listen to it and like it, but nowadays, I would think about why the music is good. This is nothing much but I thought wouldn't it be good when someone makes an album and I use this skill. 

BR: I want to live freely...

SD: A vagabond

BR: Not that...

SD: Travel guide

BR: I also thought about being a travel guide, but I like clothes, I like photography, I like a lot of miscellaneous stuffs.

Photography?

BR: Though not professionally taking pictures, but I have lots of interest in that. I want to have that interest.

SD: Shop manager

BR: I think I will do very well as a manager.

GC: Then hyung what would you like to do?

SD: I want to be a property agent. (everyone burst out laughing)

JY: I think he will really do well in that.

Then you would need to sit for papers, license.

SD: I just have to sit for it and get the license. I think I will do crazily well.

GC: Hyung, you get that license, then tell me a good location for the building, I will become the owner of the building, then I will lease the building to (Jinyoung) hyung. Then hyung will become a CEO, Baro will work in that company.

CNU: And I will make groups.

JY: Ohhhh~

SD: I think I will get rip of my real estate commission the moment I get it.

GC: We will go eat spicy beef soup often.

What is the thing you want to do most after this promotions end?

BR: Travelling together.

SD: Holiday holiday.
