Jinyoung revealed about the sense of rivalry with Park Bogum

On 27th, the interview with regards to "Love in the Moonlight" at WM Entertainment rooftop, when asked about the sense of rivalry with Park Bogum, Jinyoung answered, "Sure to have".

"No matter how different both our styles are, with our respective roles, there will still be a sense of rivalry isn't it? I have my power, the crown prince too. When both came to liking the same girl, there is no way that there will be no sense of rivalry.

Jinyoung also said "I try not to think of it as too difficult. This is the first time I have a rival but instead of trying to win that person, I thought it would be better to show the charms of Yoonseong."

Jinyoung talks about ending in his part through dying in "Love in the Moonlight"

Jinyoung ended his part in "Love in the Moonlight" strongly with the death of his character. On that he said "I only got to know that I will die a few days before the episode was aired, but I was hinted about 1 month ago. So I thought I would die." He also added "Anyways, I thought it would be weird that Raon would come to me. I thought of it as doing the job that I need to do and getting buried in it. Because of some small matters, the charm of the character that Raon liked has seems to disappear by a lot. So I know that Yoonseong would either die or leave for somewhere." 

When asked about the filming set at that time, Jinyoung replied "It was difficult. The director said it was because it is a period drama. Because it is a period drama, we can say the things we want to say, he said the death can be take a long time and have fun. It is not to just say and die. But to understand everything and go." Especially that Jinyoung has to take into consideration that Yoonseong can't shed tears, a very Yoonseong-ish response.

Jinyoung revealed "I want to compose a song with Park Bogum"

Jinyoung who participated in "Love in the Moonlight" OST. On that, Jinyoung said "Firstly, I wrote the song thinking about a girl so if would not be suitable if I were to sing it. It is my wish to do an OST for the drama I appeared in. I feel that music for a drama is very important. I want to have my music in a drama, I was really curious about that. It is good that it was a good chance that my song get to be released, and that song was used on the scene I died. The feeling was weird." He also added "It is faint, but it is the first time I was not able to monitor due to the music. I had to see it one more time for the acting, and then the next time the acting and the music together."

Also, Jinyoung said he and Park Bogum talked a lot about music. "Bogum and I made music a lot during our rest time. The songs are really good, he said he played piano for a long time. When we talk about music, his eyes will sparkle. As we make music together, I also let him know of music producing programs. It was really fun. I think Bogum also gained interest in composing music, we also talk about music. We said that if there is a chance in the future, I want him to play the piano and we can do a song together. Jinyoung took both worlds as he actively performed his role as B1A4 and in "Love in the Moonlight". This is thanks to sleeping less, dividing his time and leaning one twice the amount of passion.

Earlier, we saw that Yoonseong died while trying to save Raon in "Love in the Moonlight". With regards to that, Jinyoung revealed "Actually, I wish I woudl die. I also thought that Yoonseong was very pitiful. A little like, I want to let go easily. I thought if Yoonseong were to leave for somewhere far, he would need to take those pain and live with it, since it is not real life, so I thought it would be more comfortable to face death."

Thanks to all the actors, including Jinyoung, "Love in the Moonlight" was able to hit viewership ratings of 20% and enjoyed great popularity. Jinyoung said "Starting from episode, many messages were coming in. What's surprising is that even those who I haven't contacted for a long time and they are contacting to ask if I'm doing but are telling me that they are watching the show well, and I thought, there are really a lot watching.", explaining that he is feeling real about the popularity.

However, many knew that Jinyoung is a member of B1A4. But through his acting, he washed off the label of an "idol actor". On that part, Jinyoung said "I think it is no choice that the term has to be added. With that, I have to work hard. I think of it as a mission to work hard and not hear that. As an idol, there are a lot of burdens but the answer is to work hard and try hard, even if its just a little, I want to work hard to show a better image, and that, I think is the best method. I don't think there are other methods."

Lastly, on the question whether coming back and forth between activities as an actor and singer is tiring, he answered "If I am working on things I don't like, things will get very difficult. But because it's doing things that I like, I don't think that it is tiring." He also added "If there is another chance to do it, I would. I just need to sleep less and divide my time more".

Jinyoung told us about his affections for IOI

After Jinyoung produced music for IOI through Mnet Produce 101, he created topic for writing a song for them "Hold on" even in the midst of his busy schedules. About IOI, Jinyoung revealed "It feels like seeing another me. Since I also experienced this personally too. I dreamt the same dream as those girls, had the same thoughts. I find it amazing seeing what these kids do and doing well. Having the same feelings, even though I don't know a lot of things, but even if it is just one more thing, I wish to let them know."

Specially on "Hold on", Jinyoung said "The request for a song came in while he was shooting for teh drama, but it was fun. I think of it as a blessing. I feel that it is not right to think that a lot of work are tiring. I think it is a job that was given to me and I need to do well. I was able to divide my time well and I decided to do it."

Boygroup B1A4's member Jinyoung talks about the thoughts on the success of "Love in the Moonlight" which was shot with Park Bogum and Kim Youjung.

Jinyoung said "I am trying hard to catch up. There are originally a lot who do well."

"I think things started well from the first reading. The atmosphere among the staffs are really good. As we film, the actors are all very kind and good, the synergy was lively. I also received a lot of good energy."

On the topic of chemistry with Park Bogum and Kim Yoojung, Jinyoung mentioned "Outside acting, we have a lot of interests in common. We talk well. Even before we started acting, it was already fun. Since we get along well, the acting would match up too. We give each other advises, receive advises. The filming was fun. That part was captured on the screen, since we all have affections, they also talk to me in regards to acting, I received a lot of help."

The dying scene in "Love in the Moonlight" is really hard isn't hard? Even as I say it, dying is really hard.

Jinyoung revealed that he liked that he was able to have a try at period drama acting through "Love in the Moonlight". "I have no idea if I fit period drama or not. However, as I did it, I had fun. I dislike normal stuffs. I want to have a life that is like a movie. Not someone who is formally introduced, but like a book that you pick up and meet as you are on the road. Also, since last time, I saw period drama and wanted to have a try at it. Thinking about how people in the past lived, I like the fantasy-like feeling. Unlike a modern day drama which leaves a faint impression, the memory feels like it has stayed in a certain place. I think the aspiration is high."

In "Love in the Moonlight", he was fighting for love of Kim Youjung with Park Bogum. However, in real life, the two guys are close. Those two has personal views on music and on that, both shared lots of words on it. They even promised to come together to compose music in the future. 

When asked about his chemistry with Kim Youjung whom he has a crush on in the drama, Jinyoung said that even though he is older, but Youjung has more experience in acting and thanks to her, the scenes were able to turn out nicely. "Even though she is young, but she is really trustworthy and someone whom you can lean on. Even though she can be very cute, she is mature too. Sometimes I forget about how old she is. When I ask 'How should I do it so that it is good. Should I do it again?', she will give me a lot of opinions. There was even once that the director said it was good. No matter how I see it, she is one of those who I can ask advice from. I think I want to receive a lot of help and deliver well."

Especially on Jinyoung's last scene, he left the world. He left a strong impression. He revealed that the dying scene was the hardest. I also died in "Perseverance Goo Haera" but to speak all I have and die, it was hard. I do not know if I did well but I think I have a lot to learn." 

While on the topic of coming back and forth between an actor and singer, Jinyoung told us "While having indirect experience, it also helps a lot in music. Even though I write song based on memories with those I met before, having indirect experiences like this would add more content into the songs that I write. It will have more synergy."

Sandeul revealed to us his thoughts after promoting his solo album for 3 weeks. He stood on his last promotion stage for "Stay as you are" on the 22nd on MBC Show Music Core!

Through WM Entertainment, Sandeul said "It is a promotions that I can learn a lot from. It is my first time taking on a solo album I have some worries about how to pace myself and they singing method. At first I was very inexperienced but nearing the end, I think I am more sure about it. While telling and thinking about things like "This singing method doesn't seems to be right", "I guess I dont have to think about the tone of my voice or this and that", "I should pace myself and rest more", "It seems like working too hard isn't the answer", I also experienced it with my body, because my body will remember, I can be more expectant for my next album. 

He also added to "Look forward and continue to suppprt Sandeul who is constantly growing and always trying new things in the future. I am very thankful to those who listened to and gave love to 'Stay as you are' during this period. I love you Bana."

B1A4's Main Vocal Sandeul released his debut solo album on 4th Oct named "Stay as you are" and gained the name as "unpolluted ballad singer" as the next generation vocalist. The title song "Stay as you are" is a song that sang for an unknown lover whom he will meet in the future, a song which tells of Sandeul's story and music made by Park Won.

161024 B1A4's first solo person, big burden, I hope it gets remembered

"I hope to become someone who has infinite possibilities" 

First runner, first album. Boy group B1A4 member Sandeul concluded his first solo album "Stay as you are" promotions successfully. It is an album filled with Sandeul's special emotions, relying and touching people's heart which his simple vocals.

Sandeul gave all his energy in this album as he becomes a practice bug. While preparing and striving, even though he wasn't in the best of health, he ended his album promotions successfully and even made us anticipate his next album.

While he ended his promotions, he told OSEN, "My health is a lot better, I ended the promotions feeling thankful for the plenty of love that was given to my first solo album. I must say these thank you words." and "I think it was stressful and burdensome as a first runner. However, the things that I learnt was more than that stress that I was feeling. I think I learnt most about setting my pace right."

This album is the first solo album among B1A4's members, and it is also the first album in 6 years since debut. Sandeul said "The difficult point was that I do not have the members beside me.". On the ratings of this album, Sandeul answered "I want to give a 6 out of 10. The remaining 4 is my part that will need to be filled up."

Just by Sandeul's vocals alone, this album is a successful one. All these while, the different kind of vocal colours that he showed us on competition shows, it appealed yet differently this time round.

On this, Sandeul mentioned "If all these while the songs that I showed are powerful and needed me to stand with my feet wide apart, the solo album is a gentle and is a whispering image, even though sometimes calmly spitting it out, it is an image of Sandeul talking with full of emotions and various images of such." He also added "Thoughts like 'Sandeul is now growing', 'It will be an album to look forward to next time', 'I will look forward to his future days', I want to be remembered by people like that. I hope to be remembered as someone who can have countless possibilities.".

Group B1A4 Jinyoung has no ends to his charms. From music to acting, it is an upward trend on the correct side.

Mon-Tues KBS 2TV Drama Love in the Moonlight is a production that made us rediscover Jinyoung. He showed us the possibility of the growth of an idol actor. Starting from a minor role in a drama, to movie, up till the drama "Love in the Moonlight", he grew steadily. Particularly, he did not just acted but also participated in the OST producing, showing us his real value. This is not the first time Jinyoung showed his acting skills through "Love in the Moonlight". He took on a minor role as bully number 3 in KBS 2TV Drama "Supermom" in 2007, officially debuted as B1A4 in year 2011. Of course with B1A4's song, and especially through Mnet's girl group survival program "Produce 101", he confirmed his producing aspect, and started the fate with IOI and writing songs for them.

Actor Jinyoung penerates through the public as who has solid filmography of various kinds of shows like movie "Miss Granny", music drama "Perseverance Goo Haera", web drama "Detective Sherlock K", mini series "Warm and Cozy". This time round, he is doing well in palace period drama, "Love in the Moonlight" as charming flower scholar Kim Yoon Seong. Even though nothing has been revealed yet, this moment is a moment which I woke up and felt my heart racing. One hour right after the first broadcast, I came face to face with Jinyoung. the countdown that starts from now, his eyes slightly trembling, I can feel that he is worrying.

Q: Finally, today (the interview day was 22nd Aug) is the first broadcast. Even though it hasn't been one hour yet, how are you feeling?

A: I am very nervous. I am hopeful yet worried about how did I came out. I am also very curious about the reactions. 

Q: Compared to other shows, how different are you feeling?

A: No matter what show or production it is, they are precious to me. However, it is true that I am more worried and concerned about this show.

Q: It feels like a character just for Jinyoung. It's like looking at Jinyoung's previous life. I can feel Kim Yoonseong's elegance and grace greatly.

A: Thank you for seeing me like that. Thankfully, the character that I am acting is slowly becoming like a fairytale so recently, acting has been fun.

Q: The chemistry between Park Bogum, Kim Yoojung and Jinyoung the three mains are one of the things to see too.

A: Bogum and I are originally different so I guess that adds to the feels. Moreover, the three of us are of the similar age range, the things that we are interested in are similar, outside our filming time, we get along well too. When the three of us gather together, the will to want to work hard is also the best. We are always making the "wu-sha wu-sha" atmosphere naturally too.

Q: Through Love in the Moonlight, there is a new term made for Jinyoung. "온무파탈" (Laughs) I have heard of that many times but it is an unfamiliar word. How many percent of it synchronizes with the real Jinyoung? 

A: The meaning is of it is "A guy who can still capture the hearts of women even without warmth" However, for me to bring up negative topic to the opposite party, I find it very hard to find a way to keep it simple and brief. For me, I would think if the opposite party would be hurt by me first. On that part, I am closer to the opposite of Kim Yoonseong.

Q: Many knows that you are an actor turned singer. With that, you might also have analysed and went with acting, on the other hand, being with "B1A4" would also mean there might be a lot of people who don't know about you.

Q: Yes, but it is not a bad thing. Each of the members are playing an active role in their own position. Even though they don't know, when they see the whole group together, wouldn't they hit their knees? (T/n: a little like gaining revelation that they are a group). (Laughs) Because of that, I think we are working very hard to do what we can.

Q: The phrase "Idol" is always attached to your name wherever you go, do you ever feel alienated?

A: Rather than feeling alienated, I feel that it is like a homework that I need to solve step by step. It also make sense that I have that "Idol" phrase stuck to me. Compared to someone who only looks at one spot and run towards it, because I am an idol, I was able to obtain that faster and that is the truth. I feel that bad when I think about them. So I make a point to work hard on my acting and that I cannot do it carelessly.

Q: Some teams have their unique image. With that, B1A4 is strong in having a kind image. What is the secret?

A: I think it is sincerity. It is not an image that was forced out, we just show the image that we already have. (Q: Isn't it burdensome to have an upright image?) No, not at all. Because we do not make up or set up things to show people the image. Actually, no matter how I see, our members are very kind . (laughs)

Q: You hold important roles in the team like being a leader and the producer. As well as acting. Do you find that a handful?

A: Nope. I prefer thinking that I am lucky. It is not a chance that is given to everyone isn't it? If it was something forced onto me, I will eventually give it up. Especially producing is something that I have a choice in. However, I myself do not want to miss it out so I am working harder. To me, music and acting isn't very much a difference. The similarity is that I have to create things in both. Because of things like that, I will be sure to work harder and there are reasons to be.

Q: What kind of student are you? You look like a model student. You definitely don't look like a problematic student.

A: Haha! Is that so? I am not a problematic kid. Now that I look back, a lot of time were spent on acting and music. I live in Chungju and when it is the weekends, I head up to Seoul to study acting, and I write songs in my spare time. (Q: That's very hardworking. You look like you do well in studies too.) I just did what like what others did. (laughs) There are times when I cram for studies too.

Q: What kind of son are you?

A: I am a son that respect my parents a lot and likes spending time with them. I wonder if it is because when I was young, we often go on holidays together, so it became natural.

Q: What kind of person do you think you are?

A: Erm... Someone who is fun if you get to know me? (laughs) Because I have slightly slanted eyes, so I received various kinds of misunderstanding. Whenever that happens, I feel very sad. Because of that, from time to time I get very easy-going.

Q: Dormitory life has ended. Do you occasionally miss that life? 

A: I don't feel uncomfortable when we lived together, we had a fun time together. I don't really like being alone. To me, drinking alone or eating alone is something hard for me to do. However, there will be times you fantasise of having your own space isn't it? Now that we have all live separately, I miss those times even more.

Q: I am curious how is Jinyoung's room like.

A: My entire house concept is black and sliver. I like the cold and sophisticated feeling. I also made a workroom in the room.

Q: It is your second time having an individual shoot with Ceci. 

A: I have to confess it is hard to capture the concept. There is a tendency to have taboo about the transformation of image for idols in our country. For myself, running parallel with music is even more like this. It is because the image making of not just myself but the entire team will have a huge influence. If I were to be given a change, I would like to try being a villain. I want to try a sly and interesting character. To shake off the image I have and trying acting something unpredictable.

Q: The thing that fans are most curious about is B1A4's comeback news isn't it?

A: Yes, that's right. We will definitely comeback this year. As time passes, the thankful heart towards our fans who waited for us grows bigger. We will repay you with awesome performance soon. Even though it is a little shameless, please wait a little while more!

Q: You don't compare yourself with ordinary idol groups.

A: Yes. We are irrelevant with the trend. We are now crazily making music with resources that comes across our mind. If we were to create something different to a trend, it would be closer to B1A4's style. (Q: Is it because of that, everywhere you go, its fresh) Our team definitely has colours. Moreover, it is a pride to have songs that only we can do.

Q: What is the related word you want to have with your name on portal sites?

A: "Jinyoung I love you"! (laughs) There are such things like that. If "Jinyoung I love you" gets registered in the system, I will know "how many times I love you has been said". I want to receive that much of love.

B1A4 is making a comeback soon, and I am happy that I am able to let them know of this name even just once more. The main reason why I am doing what I am doing is because of B1A4. I am carrying with me all the names of the members, so I feel even more responsibility, at the same time I also feel twice the satisfaction. Even though I and Jung Jinyoung, I am B1A4's Jinyoung. I am not the only one thinking about the group, the other members also carry the same heart when they carry out their individual activities.

Q: The original writer said that Kim Yoonseong is the character she is the most attached to. I think you feel that charm too personally.

A: Should I say that is a reversal? He is someone who has all the authority, wealth and fame, but he does not have interest in the girls around him. However, it started when he first came to show interest in Raon. Orginally, I thought it is not interesting for someone who used to like being around girls to get fascinated by one girl. Being fascinated by one sole person and giving it all, I feel that it is very manly.

Q: You said that it is an opposite of what you are?

A: Fans call me air headed. Honestly, I don't know... (laughs). There are a lot of times when I can't find my way and has no sense of directions. The reason why I have no sense of direction is because when I walk, I have nothing on my mind. It is either I am thinking of a melody or I have no thoughts in my mind at all.

Q: If there is anything you hope to get from Kim Yoonseong?
A: Having no interest in wealth and fame. As a guy, even though being ambitious is not enough, but I would rather carrying my ambitions and live and work hard.

Q: I am curious about the atmosphere on filming site of Love in the Moonlight.

A: It is really good. Because the ratings went up so I think it got even better (laughs). Because the actors and actresses are all around the same age, we mingle well and have same bond of sympathy. Firstly, the time we first together were fun and we match well even in our daily lives. Which is why when I act, it feels even more fun. We to each other about our stories, I really like such atmosphere.

Q: Today the way Jinyoung care for the people around you caught our attention. You seem to be an icon of being caring.

A: When I see Bogum, I want to take care of him more. I am thankful to be able to work together with such a kind friend like him.

Q: When you meet someone new, do you have your own ways to adapt?

A: I will go up to the person first. It may be embarrassing and awkward at first but there isn't anyone who disliked being approached first. I don't think there is anyone who dislike chatting and getting closer to people. Before anyone wishes that someone would go up to them, I will go up to them first.

Q: I saw the interview where you said you will confess right away if you have somebody you like. 

A: That is right. I am someone who will confess right away if I find that I like this person. If I like that person and if that person went away, I feel that I will regret. Imagine busy creating fate with the person but if giving up because I have no confidence, that would be a pity.

Q: How is your success rate like when you confess?

A: I only confess when I think I have higher chance of success so my success rate is slightly higher.

Q: What if the members and you like the same girl like how Yoonseong and Lee Young did?

A: This is really hard. I don't think I will give up easily. I think I will just confess first. I prefer doing things that are within my means and my heart will feel more comfortable.

Q: Are you someone who has a strong desire for winning?

A: Yes, if I am competing with someone, I will have a higher desire of winning.

Q: In the interview with the original writer, she said "Yoonseong is someone who smile, it is not coming from his heart but something that was being trained out. This makes my heart aches.". Isn't this a little like the fate for artistes because you will always have to show your best image.

A: Your mental attitude is important. If you don't like what you do and feels irritated, when you head onto the stage, your smile wouldn't be a smile. I am doing things that I like, when I see my fans I really feel very happy. I don't want to say things or do things that are made up. When you make things up, it will eventually show.

Q: What is the thing that you have worked the hardest on as you live?

A: During trainee days, seeing the hope of being able to become an artiste, gathering all my heart and I think I worked hard in everything.

Q: You are acting as B1A4 member, producer, even as an actor. The attitude when you do each character seems to be different.

A: No matter which kind of role I am doing, I do it without regrets. I want to show that I can do my best even if its just one thing. Firstly, I can't cause trouble to others in this drama, so I am intending to work harder. Analyzing the script, practicing with the seniors and working hard.

Q: I see your seriousness in things.

A: I have always heard people saying I am old. The people around me like vateran Mastering teacher, Producers, who are around 30 - 40 years old, so I am under their influence and there are a lot to learn. They say a lot of words that are hard to think about for my age. I am thankful for that.

Q: If there is a teaching that left an impression?

A: When I first started composing songs and was confused, the mixing producer told me to have perseverance. At that point I felt a lot of things. If I kept going in back and forth, the song will go nowhere. If I am firm, have my own thinking, and a certain level of stubbornness to develop a framework, I will be able to gather certain opinions as I develop the song.

Q: What is your kind of style on normal days?

A: I like monotones. I like simple monotones like white and black. I like those style with feel.

Q: Is there any clothes or accessories items that you like? 

A: I am into watches recently. I think I know why guys are into watches now (laughs)

A: The "moment" that I feel from the past.

Q: Do you not miss B1A4's activities as you film the drama?

A: I miss the members. They monitor me a lot. When we are together for a schedule, it is not just me, everyone is very excited. When we meet, we chat a lot, and it is really fun. So I can't wait for comeback. I want to quickly stage on the stage together with them.

Q: Like friends from a long time?

A: It should be family. If it is gone, I will be empty.

Q: You also said when you wrote "In the same place" that you want people to listen to the song and think of it like a perfume.

A: I like words that can relate to past memories a lot. Even though it is good to think of the future, it is also good to reminisce the happy memories when they appear. Even right now, I am trying my best to make this moment a good memory. I want to make each one a special one.

Q: What kind of image do you wish to live as?

A: I want to live without regrets. I feel that most difficult when I think of things like "What was it like that? Instead of this.." Always think then act. Think one more time before talking. That way, you will have no regrets in your work and your relationships, don't be shy to yourself, that is the goal and aim for my life. I don't want to leave bad memories which I will turn and look back at.
