Q: From a singer to producer, and now an actor. You are doing various stuffs, don't you feel tired?

A: Even though I am doing various things, but these are things that I like, so I don't feel tired. There are also times when these things overlap. If I do not like the work, I won't like it, but since I am doing things that I like, I feel that I can do these things by cutting on my sleep. I will divide my time to do them. These are things that I like anyways, so I find it fun.

Q: How much do you usually sleep?

A: It is different every time. There are times that I find it necessary, I can stay awake for almost the entire night. I am not someone who sleeps a lot. It's a pity. On days that I can sleep a lot, and want to sleep a lot, I just wake up. Even though I want to sleep more, i'm not sleepy. I think it has become a habit. It's a pity. I should sleep more when I can though.

Q: Do you wish to give a song to your own juniors, Oh my girl?

A: I also gave Oh My Girl a song. I want to do it together with oh my girl. if there is a chance, if i can be of any help, i want to do it. i want to do it too. if its good and the chance come, i want to participate in it too.

Q: You said you are happy recently. How?

A: I am happy recently. Even though I am happy, i am worried at the same time. Since B1A4's album has to come out, I am troubled about it. It cannot just come out like that. It took a long time b rather than just releasing an album and making people disappointed, I would think to be troubled over it and release something good. Fans have waited very long. With that thought, I am more troubled. When I thought "I need to do it", instead of doing more, it is just suddenly, the song gets better.

Q: Have you heard that the netizens call you God-Jinyoung?

A: I gives me strength. I think that for a celebrity, even the smallest amount of praise gives us strength. Out of those people who pays attention to us, there are the public. Isn't good that the public is paying attention to us? It is worthwhile that these people are giving us praises. I find it amazing. There are times when I thought "How did get such praises?". Even with just 1 praise, I can gain strength from it.

Q: Even with that, you can't avoid the malicious comments too.

A: Starting out, I tried to look a lot at the praises only. I acted like I did not see those bad comments written but from a certain point onwards, I thought "I cannot go on like that". I read everything. Even if the person is just posting for the sake of posting I thought if I change this, this person wouldn't be able to say anything anymore. So nowadays I read all the comments, even though there are good comments when I read blogs, there are also people who give words after analysing. After seeing those, I thought I should not repeat such stuffs again.

Q: There are also attention seeking people who write malicious comments. Do you take those for reference too?

A: I feel those comments. Whether its just saying for the sake of saying, or whether they are really caring for it, I can see it. From one point onwards, when I write songs, I only "accept 50% of anything". I accept half of the praise that someone said, I also take half of the criticism that a person gives. Since it is the public, I have to look at a lot of various response. Previously when someone told me it's not good, I get sad but nowadays I look at all the responses. I feel that it is important to not be swayed by just one person's words. The very first title song, we did mixing 7 times. It was really harmful (laughs). The mixing teacher told me later "A producer must have his own perseverance". After that I came realised that I get swayed very easily. From that point onwards, I thought wouldn't it be good if I have my stand, and take in to heart 50% of the good and bad comments given.

Q: After Love in the Moonlight ended, what have you been doing?

A: Firstly, we are preparing to release an album. The fans have been waiting for more than a year. Album is the top priority now.

Q: What do you do on your rest day?

A: I want to watch a movie. On normal days, I watch a lot of movies with my family so there are almost no movies that I have not watched before. When I was young, I watched a lot of movies with my family so now when I head to the cinema, when I smell the smell of the popcorn, there are times I get home sick. I will deliberately go to the cinema nearby and smell the smell of popcorn and reminisce the memories. One reason why I like perfumes is because mood can change based on the smell. Smell can remind you of someone. I buy a lot of perfume because I get happier when I smell a good smell.

Q: How was 2016 like for Jinyoung?

A: It was a spectacular year. I did a lot of things. I did Produce 101, God of Music, Love in the Moonlight. I did a lot of things that I wasn't able to. I also did a solo stage on Yoo Heeyeol Sketchbook. It was a year where I experience good stuffs of those I didn't managed to do. Its a 2016 that makes me anticipate 2017.

Jinyoung revealed that he wants to write a song for Park Bogum, Twice, as a present.

I have thoughts of giving the other groups songs as a gift. If there is a chance, I would want to take care of Oh My Girl. If Park Bogum releases an album, I also want to gift him a song. There are a lot of good singers recently. I also want to gift a song to Twice and Red Velvet.

The groups' styles are all different so I am curious how it would turn out. I don't want to do the same thing. I want to challenge and try to match the group's style as much as possible.

Jinyoung worked with various similar age actors like Park Bogum, Kim Yoojung, Kwak Dongyeon, Chae Soobin in this drama. Among them, he is the oldest but he played the role of the youngest. On that, he told us "I don't really think of them are younger brothers and sisters. In the area of acting, they are more senior than me and I have a lot to learn. To pull my age and ego as the oldest would not be good for the drama and the chemistry between us. I also want to learn a lot. So in real life along the way as we act, we also talked a lot. I will ask Bogum and Yoojung "How do I do this?" and we will exchange script and try to match the chemistry."

In Love in the Moonlight, other than just acting with similar age actors, he also had lots of scenes with many other actors. For a new actor like him, there are a lot to learn.

"Actually, Senior Cho Hwi Bong etc gave me the most advises. They asked if I am tired, whenever we do something, they will say it's good or say words like I'm their own child. I really learned a lot. I see Senior Cheon Ho Jin the most and when we have matching acts, he advises me a lot too. It is not just a rough description, he would say "How should this person do" and I can feel his affections. I am very thankful."

Jinyoung also had fun on the action scene. "At first it was hard. I had a scene fighting using the umbrella so I practiced with the umbrella. However, that scene was being edited out because we had too much scenes in the first place so we had to take it out. I only practiced for that umbrella scene but suddenly we had to do a sword fighting scene. On that day itself, we have to match our acting. It was a very busy time. But it was fun. I did it and it was a very fun memory. It seems like I did everything. I drew, shot an arrow, used a gun, did an action scene."

When asked about future dramas he wishes to do, he says "I really want to wear a school uniform. The clothes I want to wear the most after graduating is school uniform." When asked what does he feel about doing School 2017 with Park Bogum, he answered "Ok" cheerfully, once again showing the bromance between the both of them.

Jinyoung "Love in the Moonlight Carol with Park Bogum, Kwak Dongyeon? I really want to do it".

Jinyoung revealed the love for music on the filming set of Love in the Moonlight. While doing makeup or while dressing up, Jinyoung asked Park Bogum and Kwak Dongyeon whom he shares the waiting room with if he could play some music, making himself a music DJ.

Jinyoung said "When I played music, the atmosphere changed. Even though acting is important, the atmosphere is important too. On some days, Park Bogum also played his songs. Since Park Bogum and Kwak Dongyeon both like music, we talked a lot about music. It feels a little like the movie "Begin again", the moment you listen to music, something changes."

During their trip to Cebu, Park Bogum, Kwak Dongyeon and Jinyoung also spoke a lot about music. Kwak Dongyeon said in one interview "I want to write a carol with Park Bogum and Jinyoung. First, Jinyoung's opinion is important since he would need to write a song." When we mentioned it to Jinyoung, he said "It would be fun.", laughing cheerfully.

Jinyoung also said "If our situation allows, I want to do it. Since making music and writing music is something I like, I don't think it would be a problem. However, for the three of us to match our time together to do an album, I don't know if its possible. However, it is a very good idea."
